Art in Travel: A Quest for Inspiration
Traveling is more than just a getaway. For a Quebec painter like me, it's a quest for inspiration, an exploration of new horizons, and an immersion in a vibrant culture. And Costa Rica, with its incredible biodiversity and spectacular landscapes, offers an exceptional playground for expressing my creativity and love for abstract art.
Costa Rica: A Natural Canvas
During my travels, I am fascinated by every detail: the diversity of the wildlife, the exotic plants, the incredible beaches, the cultural riches. Costa Rica promises a unique sensory experience, where every corner of NATURE seems like a work of art in itself. Through my photographs, I intend to capture the magic of these places and transpose it onto my canvases, exploring the infinite possibilities of abstract painting.

Acrylic: My Creative Ally
As an artist, I have chosen acrylic as my preferred medium. Its versatility allows me to play with colors, textures, and contrasts. In Costa Rica, I plan to explore the infinite possibilities of this medium, capturing the shimmering LIGHT of the tropics, the depth of the forests, the brilliance of the oceans, and thus bring my abstract art to life by letting go and letting inspiration speak to me.
Travel: A Human Adventure
But traveling is much more than just creating works. It's also about experiencing enriching human encounters, interacting with people from different cultures (I'll of course get help because I unfortunately don't speak Spanish) and letting myself be immersed in the unique atmosphere of each place. All of this nourishes my artistic soul as much as my color palette.

In the next few posts, I'll take you behind the scenes of my trip. We'll cover everything from organizing supplies for painting while traveling to the challenges and joys of creating abstract works outdoors. I'll also set aside time to reflect on the beauty of life.
